About the Event
"My name is Ian Kilpatrick and ever since my school days, I have been fascinated by these two invasions of Russia. These were the two greatest invasions ever undertaken up until 1812 when Napoleon invaded Russia under Tsar Alexander I and Hitler’s invasion of Russia under Joseph Stalin in 1941. I will endeavour to explain why the invasions took place and why they failed. This talk is not a history lesson but a short resume of two historic events."
