Tavistock’s Dickensian Evening is a magical late-night shopping event that transports you back in time as shop keepers embrace the spirit and dress up in traditional attire.
Many shops up and down the high street will be joining the fun with an assortment of activities, special offers and treats of one sort or another. Keep reading for more information.

Have a December Advent Calendar running where there will be a different offer on each day. For Dickensian its £10 off £100 spend. There will also be free chocolates
EastGate Cafe & Brasserie
Open late and taking reservations.
Karen's Cafe on Brook Street
Raising funds for crohns and colitis by selling brandy mince pies and homemade mulled wine.
Moorwishes Art Gallery
Will be open and staffed by the artist herself - Chery
Tavistock Oxfam
Will be running a raffle in the evening, extended opening times 9:00am-8:00pm.
The Bedford Hotel
Enjoy the relaxed & welcoming atmosphere of the pop-up Garden Bar, with pulled turkey baps, fine Dartmoor ales & mulled wine.
The Original Pasty House
Are doing Festive Hot Chocolates.

Tis the season! Enjoy mulled wine, warm rolls crammed with turkey, stuffing and pigs in blankets from 5pm.
J & S Downing Butchers
Are doing their usual hog roast at the bottom of Pepper Street.
Eversfield Organic
Will be selling mulled wine & mince pies from their shop, as well as Organic Rare Breed Burgers & Lamb Burgers from our BBQ.
Runventure
Are doing a tombola with lots of prizes to be won with top prize being a pair of shoes.
£5 per ticket.
Not every ticket wins.

Are giving out the Dickensian Supplement, together with reindeer food for the children.
