PEW TOR CIRCULAR

A fun trek across the hilly landscape of Dartmoor, the Pew Tor Circular Walk is perfect for families or those who want to experience the beauty of Dartmoor without too much effort. It's a great walk at all times of the year.

Setting out from Pork Hill Car Park (Grid Ref SX531751), you will head straight towards Pew Tor in the distance, where a gentle slope will take you down to the much-loved and photographed Windy Post. The route to Pew Tor itself is flat and easy but there is a slight scramble to the summit to enjoy those views.

This route takes you on further to the quarry just to the south (look out for the goldfish!) and then skirts back around the base of Pew Tor and northeast across Heckwood Tor before turning to the north towards Feather Tor.

The return leg follows the leat to the northeast before turning west at the main road and back to the car park where you can enjoy a well-earned ice-cream!
